"Seal
Watching , Lincolnshire, December 2006"
Trying to communicate
conservation issues with images is a difficult task however one
which I am constantly looking to tackle.
I visited Donna Nook
for the first time this year - a very popular destination for
a large number of wildlife photographers. I took many images but
to me it was this one which really told a story.
The big black eyes
of the seal pups were perfect mirrors for the conservation issue
of the UK. The fence and wildlife observers who had travelled
to see these Atlantic grey seals giving birth to their pups can
clearly be seen reflected in the seals eyes. For the observant
- I am the individual on the right in the image!
