Peru
The later stages of our trip to South America were
based around visiting various other countries. This section covers
Peru. For me this country represents the traditional view of South
America with a mix of vibrant, buzzing market towns and high altiplano
fields grazed by llamas and of course the ancient civilisations
represented by places like Macchu Pichu.

Ecuador
Ecuador has many differences to Peru, it's smaller,
the people are more shy, and yet it has similar aspects that you
would associate with travel in South America (llamas, rainforest,
andes etc) but its true treasure (photographicallY) is the Otavalo
craft market.

Patagonia
The true southern tip of the continent was our final stopping of
point on our 2003 tour of South America. This was somewhere that
I had longed to visit and despite the freezing temperatures places
like Torres del Paine and Parque Nacional Los Glacieres can never
fail to disapoint.

Images from
the busy capital of Argentina -after 4 months without the modernities
of a western lifestyle, BA came as something of a shock. |

Bolivia
An incredible country, Bolivia is situated high in
the Andes and is mainly Altiplano. This gallery covers our trip
across the South-Western Salt flats and altiplano. Of the time we
spent in Bolivia this was the highlight of the trip due to the mix
of volcanoes, high altitude soda lakes dotted with flamingoes and
the vast expanses that are Bolivias Salars or salt flats.

Rainforest
This is a selection of images from my time in the rainforest in
2003. Caroline and I spent 10 weeks living in the rainforest with
a volunteer organisation called Global
Vision International. We collected data to try and help the
local families develop an ecotourism project.
