A trip earlier this year to hunt out Puffins during the nesting season led us to Skomer on the South coast of Wales. I went with Graham Bailey, another wildlife photographer and we had mixed success. It was fascinating to be able to observe some different Puffin behaviour but we just didnt get the light we needed for photography. It was also the first time I had seen Manx Shearwaters; waking in the dead of night it was incredible to find the island alive with birds flying through the dark night sky.
